Reflecting on her earliest business experiences, Paola shares her childhood passion for Mexican candy. During family trips to Sayulita in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, she would request her parents to buy large bags filled with assorted candies, often costing around $3.

“I would bring them to school and sell each piece for a dollar,” she recalls, a spark of excitement lighting up her face. While she enjoyed the candies, the thrill of negotiation and counting her earnings brought her even greater satisfaction.

Her first venture, however, faced scrutiny when other parents began to question her sales activities. Undeterred, Paola continued to explore various sales opportunities, from selling roses on special occasions to hawking fresh guacamole on the bustling streets of Lincoln Road. Her ability to sell was undeniable.

“Creating win-win scenarios where everyone leaves satisfied is truly an art,” she emphasizes.

Transitioning into Real Estate

With a mother who is a respected figure in real estate—Laura Roxana Garcia—Paola naturally gravitated toward the industry. As a child, she relished the role of her mother’s assistant, attending meetings, and absorbing lessons in negotiation.

“There was so much knowledge and experience in the field that it felt essential to explore real estate,” she notes.

What began as a summer job soon evolved into a deep-seated passion and talent, one that she embraced wholeheartedly. “The more I engage with it, the more I fall in love with it,” she explains.

Since the age of 18, Paola has emerged as one of Miami’s premier real estate agents. Her keen understanding of client needs, combined with a dedication to delivering top-notch service, has established her as a leader in the industry.

Daily Routines and Work Ethic

On weekdays, Paola typically wakes up between 5 AM and 7 AM, depending on her sleep and whether she opts for a workout or some extra rest. After exercising or meditating, she spends time reading or engaging in activities that set a positive tone for her day. Her mornings begin with reviewing her calendar and tackling her to-do list, generally avoiding appointments before 11 AM.

“The initial hours of my day are devoted to communicating with clients, anticipating their needs to mitigate potential challenges,” she shares. “I prefer a flexible routine to maintain my balance, as overly strict schedules can overwhelm me.”

When she feels healthy and energized, her clarity, patience, and efficiency flourish, enhancing her problem-solving skills and allowing for strategic thinking.

Afternoons may include property showings, listing presentations, and visits to new developments, along with inspections, team meetings, and networking events. Every evening, Paola reviews her client interactions and outlines her priorities for the upcoming days, ensuring she remains organized and proactive.

“I aim to be in bed by 10 PM to unwind with some TV, reading, or a meditation session using my favorite app, Journey to the Top,” she adds.

Despite the numerous positives, Paola describes her path to the top of the industry as a “rollercoaster of emotions, a love/hate relationship.”

“There have been moments that challenged my ethics and integrity, times when I felt isolated, defeated, and overwhelmed by the darker aspects of the industry,” she admits.

Through experience, she has sought to maintain balance in this demanding field. With determination and resilience, she has recognized the unique value she brings to the Miami real estate landscape.

“Even during trying times, I sometimes feel that business aligns perfectly, as if angels are answering my prayers. Other moments empower me, making me feel like I’m conquering an endless world. This career is exhilarating and deeply fulfilling, but it’s not for the faint-hearted,” she reflects.

For Paola, strategy is central to her success. “There’s no one-size-fits-all process; each deal is a unique treasure,” she explains.

To formulate effective strategies, it’s vital to eliminate constraints and treat every transaction individually.

She advises realtors to harness their “superpowers” for optimal success:

Despite challenges such as rising interest rates and inflation, Paola remains optimistic about the luxury sector in Miami.

“I’m excited to witness the city’s transformation as new wealth continues to flow in. Miami is becoming increasingly appealing due to enhancements in the business sector, attracting people who appreciate not only the climate and tax benefits but also political policies that resonate with their values,” she explains.

Paola believes that while Miami is still in its early stages, the city will continue to generate vast opportunities for the real estate sector. “This is arguably one of the best cities globally, and I’m thrilled to be part of its unfolding story. We are making history,” she asserts proudly.
